Kyle Trulin – Firearm Safety Instructor
Kyle Trulin is the Co-founder and lead instructor of Willamette Firearms Instruction, LLC and a professional educator with a background in middle school mathematics. His teaching experience gives him a strong foundation in breaking down complex topics into clear, understandable instruction—an essential skill in concealed carry training and firearm safety education.
Kyle’s passion for firearms and responsible concealed carry was inspired by his father, a U.S. military veteran who served in Vietnam. Growing up with this influence instilled in him a deep respect for discipline, safety, and the responsibilities that come with firearm ownership.
Today, Kyle specializes in Oregon Concealed Handgun License (CHL) training, concealed carry Oregon classes, and Utah concealed carry permit instruction. He is dedicated to helping students understand not only how to carry legally, but also how to carry responsibly and confidently.

Juan Puente – Firearm Safety Instructor
Juan Puente is Co-founder of Willamette Firearms Instruction, a skilled tattoo artist, and firearm safety instructor who brings a unique perspective to concealed carry education in Oregon. Growing up around firearms, Juan developed an early understanding of safe handling, respect for firearms, and the importance of responsible ownership.
His background as a tattoo artist reflects a strong attention to detail, patience, and precision—qualities that translate directly into effective firearm instruction and safety training. Juan is passionate about helping students build confidence through structured, hands-on learning and clear communication.
Juan supports instruction in concealed carry Oregon classes, Oregon CHL training, Utah concealed carry education, and multi-state concealed carry courses.
